What is Sweetwater Farms?
At Sweetwater Farms, we don’t grow corn, squash, or beans instead we grow a type of nurturing for the soul. How does it work?
We offer a variety of farm experiences for schools, childcare centers, organizations, senior centers, and businesses to choose from. Reservations are required. Visit Farm Experiences page for more information.
Are you open to the public?
Yes. We are open to the public, free of charge, the second Saturday of every month. No reservation is needed. Just come on out, bring a picnic, and enjoy the farm! Visit our A Day on the Farm page for more information.
When is the best time to visit the farm?
Any day is a great day on the farm! Our 2018 schedule runs from March 1st through November 22nd.
Where are you located?
Sweetwater Farms is located at 14412 Beatties Ford Road, Huntersville, NC 28078. We are 1½ miles south of the intersection of Hwy 73 and Beatties Ford Road. We are centrally located to receive visitors from NC, SC, VA, and TN. Visit our Map & Directions page for more info.
Are you wheelchair accessible?
Yes. The farm is wheelchair accessible with a path leading to all of our unique farm experiences. We invite and encourage all special needs groups to visit the farm to enjoy all of the wonderment it has to offer.

How do I pay?
A deposit may be required to reserve the farm for a birthday party or corporate event with the balance due at the time of the event. Field trips are required to pay in full the day of the event. You pay at the time you make your on-line reservation through our secure checkout feature, or simply call us to make other payment arrangements. What if I need to cancel my reservation?
Field Trip, Family, and Senior Experiences: Just notify us two weeks prior to your reserved date and we’ll issue you a full refund. If you need to cancel within two weeks of your reserved time you can either select another date within the following 30 days for no additional cost or we will issue you a refund less 15% of the total amount paid. If you fail to show for your reserved time without notifying us, you will be charged the full amount. In the event of your experience being cancelled due to events beyond our control, we will reschedule your group at no cost at a date and time convenient for you.
Fundraisers and Corporate Events: Just notify us 30 days prior to your event and we’ll issue you a full refund. Cancellations within 14-29 days of your event receive a 50% refund. No refunds are given for cancellations within two weeks of your reserved date. If you fail to show for your reserved time without notifying us, you will be charged the full amount. In the event of your function being cancelled due to events beyond our control, we will reschedule your group at no cost at a date and time convenient for you.
